BookThug seeks to publish innovative books of poetry, prose and creative criticism that extend the tradition of experimental literature. BookThug focuses on publishing emerging writers whose work is innovative and provides an opportunity for established writers to publish experimental works while placing an emphasis on designing books with attention to the aesthetics of the physical book object. With 3 out of 5 nominations on the 2011 Governor General’s list this formula seems to be working!

Toronto New School of Writing Web Site
The Toronto New School of Writing project was founded in the Spring of 2010 to offer artist developed writing workshops and courses. The classes are run in the upper floors at 283 College St. in Toronto. Because the artists themselves develop all courses, every workshop offers a unique experience. Courses range from one day writing intensive workshops to 10-week topical writing courses.
